‘Flat Plate’ is an elegant and sturdy object made from sand-cast aluminium. The base fits any candle size and is presented in a collectible handmade box from the marbled papers of celebrated paper artist, Jemma Lewis.
‘Flat Plate’ is part of Wax Atelier's first collection of candle holders and candelabras designed by WAX Atelier and manufactured at small foundries in the UK. Each batch is made in small production runs using traditional manufacturing techniques such as sand-casting and lost-wax casting .

WAX Atelier was founded in 2017 by multi-disciplinary designers Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault-Picazo, in London. Since 2020, the products are manufactured in Barking, East London, by a team of trained artisans originating from the local community.
